Dr. Yichu Shan obtained his bachelor degree of science in 1997 from University of Science and Technology of China and Ph. D. degree in 2002 from Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. From Oct. 2002 to May 2009, he worked in Max Planck Institute for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems, Magdeburg, Germany, University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, USA and Flinders University of South Australia, Adelaide, Australia. In July of 2009, he was appointed an associate professor and began to work in Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research is currently focused on proteome identification and quantification, proteome posttranslational modification identification, proteome termini enrichment and identification as well as de novo sequencing of proteins.He has published more than60 papers in scientific journals such as Analytical Chemistry, Proteomics, Journal of Proteome Research and Journal of Chromatography A and applied for about 20 patents.He has presided and participated in several research projects including sub-project of National Key Research and Development Program and National Natural Science Fundation project.
