He has worked in "supercritical extraction", "capillary electrophoresis" and "microfluidic chip". He has participated in a number of national and provincial research projects, such as National Natural Science Foundation of Liaoning Province, Natural Science Foundation, the Olympic Fund, the Chinese Academy of Sciences Innovation Fund, Dalian Institute of Chemical Innovation Fund and et al. He published more than 30 papers in the domestic and foreign publications and 43 patents including 6 patents as the first inventor. He won the 2007 Liaoning Provincial Invention Award first prize.
