The 1810 group is affiliated to National Chromatography Research and Analysis Center and Biotechnology Department of the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Since it was founded in 1999, the group has developed rapidly. Presently, there are one academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, 8 professors, 4 associate professors, 3 senior engineers, 2 technicians, 1 engineer, and more than 40 postdoctoral and postgraduate students. Many important projects have been undertaken, such as the National Key Research and Development Program of China, National Basic Research Program of China, the National Key Scientific Instrument and Equipment Development Project of China, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the Knowledge Innovation Project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Widespread cooperation with domestic and foreign well-known scholars was established in the related field.
